Aaron Hauck + Studio visit.

In keeping with my previous post I thought I would share Aaron Hauck's work and studio with you. Another Minnesota native, living and working in New York, his portraits and New York City subway scenes offer us a look into the daily lives and subtle psychology of his subject. Working mainly in oil he uses rich color and dark shadows to create his beautiful and painterly pieces. And I'm not saying they're beautiful just because I am frequently one of his sitters (see his amazing portrayal of me below.)

Studio + In-progress Paintings.

Yes, yes, I know. If you are a regular to this blog - or even semi-regular you've noticed I haven't been keeping up with it. 12 days into the new year and I've just now decided my New Years resolution will be to post more often, at least a couple times a week. Okay, at least once a week!

You may have noticed I don't have a huge inventory of available paintings right now but I am steadily working on new ones. So I thought I would share a couple pictures of my studio and some in-progress sneak peaks of new paintings. More to come...
